Advanced Topics in Dolby Atmos Studio Design

Building or upgrading a commercial or high-end project studio for the purposes of mixing music in the relatively new Dolby Atmos format can seem daunting. But it doesn’t have to be. Denise Barbarita will interview Emma Brooks, Greg “Stryke” Chin and Nathaniel Reichman about their experiences consulting for and mixing in Atmos music studios. This discussion will focus on why Dolby has recommended certain configurations of loudspeakers, subwoofers, and target SPLs. They will discuss the Dolby Audio Room Design Tool (DARDT), and explain the necessary QC process with headphones and loudspeakers when preparing a commercial music release in the Dolby Atmos format.
In person attendance is limited and requires a ticket.

Open to all not just AES Members to capacity which is limited, ticket required. This is a free AES NY Section event , please do not reserve a ticket and not show up to the event! This event will also be archived on AES NY Section Facebook and YouTube. In person attendees will have a chance to win a prize in a raffle at the end of the event. Dolby Renderer (12 month NFR) will be provided by Dolby to one lucky winner drawn via the raffle participation.
