Meridian Audio Ltd. have a vacancy for an acoustic engineer at our facility in Huntingdon to support our current engineers with electroacoustic and signal processing system design, prototyping and verification activities as well as development and deployment of Meridian’s DSP technologies for both Meridian’s specialist audio products and business-to-business clients.
We are looking for someone with a good degree or equivalent experience in engineering, acoustics, computer science, physics or mathematics plus demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Acoustics
- Audio signal processing
- Psychoacoustics
Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:
- Acoustic simulation (lumped element, finite element method, boundary element method etc.)
- COMSOL Multiphysics highly favoured
- Audio measurement systems (Prism dScope, Audio Precision, Soundcheck etc.)
- Transducer design
Experience in the following areas is also desirable:
- MATLAB
- C/C++ programming
- Critical listening
- Knowledge of loudspeaker technology and acoustics
Furthermore, it would be advantageous if candidates had experience in the following:
- Automotive acoustics
- Experience with a wide range of software platforms/languages
