The position is located at the National Audio-Visual Conservation Center (NAVCC) and reports to the Sound Laboratory Supervisor.
The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the equipment used for the processing, preservation and duplication of magnetic tape, disc, wire, cylinder recordings; and associated support equipment for the sound preservation laboratory, including a broad array of obsolete equipment that has not been manufactured for decades but is still essential to preservation production.
