We are looking for the right person to establish and lead our Project
Management team, as they work to ensure that our next generations of studio
monitors and software products meet our customers’ expectations and our
business goals.
What you’ll be doing:
This is a new role for ADAM Audio, and one in which you will be leading
significant change in how we work together to deliver our roadmap of
products. You will be defining, and leading the implementation of, the
processes and workflows needed to deliver a growing program of projects, as
well as line managing a small team of project managers.
Day to day, together with your team, you’ll ensure that the program is on
track to deliver the product roadmap at the expected quality and cost, and
within the agreed timeframes.
You’ll be reviewing project schedules and risk logs, coordinating the
regular status updates to the management team and stakeholders, and coaching
your team on best practices. This is a small but growing team, and where
appropriate you’ll also be leading by example and managing a project or two
of your own.
Where you and your team identify schedule gaps and new interdependencies,
you’ll be working closely with the R&D and delivery teams to resolve them,
either with revised plans, staffing approach, or funding.
You’ll work closely with the Product Management team, and together own the
rolling 3 year plan of product development to deliver the annual revenue
targets, meeting regularly with key stakeholders from R&D and Engineering,
to track the progress and overall performance of the product pipeline.
As the company grows, you’ll be expanding your team, and providing line
management support for them. You’ll be responsible for their performance,
well being, and personal development, ensuring your team is always ready to
deliver the rolling roadmap and growth plans of the company.
There will also be opportunity to engage with other program teams across the
group, collaborating with and sharing learning and improvement ideas between
the other members of the Focusrite family.
We have an exciting roadmap of products, and this role is key to ensuring we
are able to design and deliver them as efficiently as possible.
In this role you will be reporting to the Director of Product Delivery.
You’ll work closely with:
R&D and Engineering teams
Product Management team
Manufacturing and QC teams in China and Berlin Marketing & Sales – as part
of delivering products through to successful market launch.
The ideal candidate is likely to be:
An experienced project manager, able to deliver multiple phased projects
simultaneously Knowledgeable of new product introduction (NPI) lifecycles
and of project managing the development of hardware products Experienced
using a mixture of program and project management methods including agile
and waterfall methodologies Experienced managing budgets, monitoring
expenditure and costs against plans A strong communicator with excellent
analytical skills An effective leader with strong interpersonal skills
Degree level qualified in a technical, engineering, or science field.
Comfortable working in spoken and written English. German language skills
would also be an advantage
