About The Role
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and integrating new audio technologies within Harman’s audio processing tool suite AudioworX based on internal and external stakeholder’s requirements.
Your Team
The AudioworX Technology Development & Innovation team of Harman’s Car Audio Division is located in Garching and Novi. The group is responsible for driving innovation and developing class leading audio technologies that enrich the SaaP (Software as a Product) portfolio.
What You Will Do
Design, development and debug of Audio DSP algorithms and software for automotive audio products
Audio algorithm development in consideration of both audio performance and footprint for later effective implementation on any amplifier or head unit platform
Design, implementation and demonstration of algorithm prototypes/proof of concepts
Task definition, design and code reviews, testing, and documentation of code functionality.
What You Need
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Media Technology or equivalent
Experience in R&D in the fields of digital (audio) signal processing and (DSP) algorithms
Experience in professional SW engineering / agile SW development
Knowledge in acoustics, psychoacoustics, acoustical benchmarking, sound quality, sound field measurement and equalization, and related fields
At least 3+ years of experience in implementation and optimization of C/C++ SW with exposure to embedded systems
Experience in MATLAB programming
Very good command of English language, written and oral
What Is Nice To Have
Experience working in the automotive industry or professional or consumer audio industry
Experience in objective and subjective benchmarking of audio algorithms
What Makes You Eligible
Willingness to travel up to 10%, including domestic and international travel
Be willing to work in an office in Garching or Karlsbad, Germany
