This is an opportunity for an experienced software developer to join an established and highly motivated R&D team in the South East of England developing products for the high end consumer audio market.
Job Description
You will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team alongside other software, hardware, acoustics, and signal processing engineers. You will be writing software to support the design and simulation of products, and to enable the setting up of DSP algorithms within audio products. Our client is looking for embedded and/or desktop skills and are happy to accept candidates with either or both, coming with experience of object-oriented software development. You should be comfortable working independently and in a team, and be confident to take requirements through to finished code.
About you
- A degree (bachelors or masters) in a relevant field e.g., computer science, electronic engineering, physics, or acoustics or similar.
- Strong professional software development experience with Java or C++ in an object-oriented environment.
- Some experience with MATLAB, Python and/or Octave and an understanding of signal processing techniques
- Devops experience professionally or in an open source project.

Our client is a long-established and well-regarded manufacturer of high-end loudspeaker and consumer audio products, with a research and development team based in the south-east of England. Their team includes some of the most respected acoustic and signal processing engineers in the audio sector, and this is a chance to work with experts to create great products for discerning end users.
The role is based on site with flexibility to work several days a week remotely. The location gives excellent options on where to be based, being both near to London and to the south coast with open countryside nearby. Sponsorship is available for non-UK candidates who are prepared to relocate and have a passion for audio technology. Written and spoken English is a requirement.
