Electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic interference engineering are well developed fields and this paper brings forward many of the concepts and techniques used by professionals to this discipline. This will allow audio system designers to begin to understand why many of the techniques used in audio engineering exist. They will then be in a better position to make further use of them in difficult situations and new designs.
