Call for Contributions

The adverse effects of excessive audio and music exposure are widely recognized and addressed in modern societies, yet there is a continued need for innovative solutions that may help prevent hearing damage or compensate intelligently when the damage is done. This conference series continues to bring international focus on technological options for safer music exposure, such as hearing protection strategies and technology, conditions for populations at risk and risk behaviors, methods for sound exposure monitoring and assessment of hearing, among others. This will be the fourth AES conference on the topic. Following the success of the third conference in this series, the AES Conference in Chicago, IL, USA, in 2018, the organizing committee has decided to continue the important task of providing a forum to present and discuss the latest knowledge and technological advancements in hearing protection, hearing diagnosis, impact of musical sound exposure, and more. Click here to see a list of Proposed Topics.

Submission Guidelines

The Audio Engineering Society is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the audio community. We encourage submissions to AES events from all audio professionals. We welcome diverse genres, embrace emergent audio fields and research, and strive to radiate inclusiveness to all.

Proposals describing work in the area of Audio and Music Induced Hearing Disorders will be considered for inclusion in the conference sessions. A detailed list of proposed topics is given below. Please also take the time to review the AES Convention and Conference Author Guidelines before submitting.
