The Journal of the Audio Engineering Society — the official publication of the AES — is the only peer-reviewed journal devoted exclusively to audio technology. Published 10 times each year, it is available to all AES members and subscribers.
The Journal contains state-of-the-art review papers, technical papers, and engineering reports; standards committee work, convention and conference announcements, membership news, and book reviews.
Find virtually every technological advance chronicled,
From the origins of stereo recording to present day advances in spatial audio, signal processing, and audio networking.
Explore over 20,000 papers in the E-library on loads of topics which are all free to AES Members or a nominated cost per paper for non-members.
AES3 (2-channel digital audio), AES10 (MADI), AES14 (analog XLR pin-out) – AES Standards have improved your workflow, and possibly saved your production, more times than you realize. AES Standards bring the industry’s engineering teams together to insure peak performance and interoperability.
A growing number of countries require Open Access to the results of publicly-funded research. After surveying AES authors it was found that a majority were interested in having the option of publishing their work in Open Access (OA). Authors who choose this option will receive greater visibility and ease of access to their AES publications.
Technical Documents are publications of the Technical Council that have an overall purpose of informing members and the public of the state of technology in areas represented by the Technical Committees.
Providing a forum for new ideas, as a vehicle for the dissemination, application and implementation of leading-edge research, as archivists of the sum total of audio knowledge, the AES is the global authority in the audio sciences.
