This will be an informal get-together of colleagues, friends and associates of Aalto University Acoustic Lab. This also works as a pre-conference event for 2025 AES International Conference of Headphone Technology, taking place on Tuesday August 26 starting at 17:00 inside and outside the Lab facility at Otakaari 5, Espoo. This is just a 10 minute walk away from the conference facility. Also, pre-registration to the AES Conference is available there from 17:00 to 18:30. You are welcome to pre-book for this event. Admission is free. During the evening we will enjoy presentations from several professors at the Aalto Acoustics Lab, giving quick tours of the research topics and the latest work at the Lab.

The Aalto Acoustics Lab is a multidisciplinary research center at Aalto University, located at Otakaari 5 A in Espoo, Finland. It brings together experts from the Departments of Information and Communications Engineering, Computer Science, and Art and Media. The lab focuses on audio processing and spatial sound technologies, offering state-of-the-art facilities for both research and education.

2. GENELEC SOCIAL EVENT

This free social event for the 2025 AES International Conference of Headphone Technology is taking place on Thursday Aug 28, 18:30 to about 22:00, at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, located at Hämeentie 135 D, Helsinki. Admission is free but requires prebooking through the AES. During the evening, we can enjoy light snacks and drinks with demos and brief presentations of Genelec immersive audio monitoring solutions, using both loudspeaker and headphones-based approaches, and including demos and presentations of the Aural ID binaural for professional monitoring applications and headphones-based UNIO Personal Reference Monitoring system.

Metropolia Arabia campus houses the Media and Film degree program. This program offers the Bachelor of Culture and Arts degree, where the students specialize in Content and Production or Technology and Expression for film, television, radio, and online media.
