Spotlight on EAST SIDE SOUND
AES New York Section Officers and Committee invite you to join us for a hybrid in person and Facebook Live panel, visiting and touring East Side Sound, NYC’s longest established indy recording studio. The event will include a short recording session and discussion covering recording techniques, history of the studio and an interview of the original owner/engineer Lou Holtzman as well as the father and son team / new owners of the studio, Andres and Nicholas Pollak.
Topics will include a discussion on the recording techniques, creative music elements and business operations involved in the daily sessions being recorded and mixed at East Side Sound. The panelists will be interviewed by AES NY Co-Chair Roey Shamir.

– Event and Facebook Live start at 6pm on AES NY Sections Facebook Group
– Q&A at 6:45
– Raffle begins at 7.
(In person ticket enters attendees present into a raffle for an NFR copy of Eventide’s Omnipressor plugin. Ilok account required for the winner to receive this prize. One lucky attendee will win a copy donated by Eventide, raffle at the end of the event.)
– Short networking hang after 7.
