AUDIO ENGINEERING SOCIETY AND ARUP PARTNER ONCE AGAIN TO AWARD THE DIVERSITY IN AUDIO SCHOLARSHIP

Winning Student Will Receive Resources to Attend the AES Show 2024 New York on October 8-10 at the Jacob Javits Center

[NEW YORK, September 18, 2024]—The Audio Engineering Society’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, in partnership with environmental consulting firm Arup, is pleased to announce entries are open for this year’s Diversity in Audio Scholarship. This scholarship supports underrepresented voices in the industry and provides an opportunity for students to connect with and learn from leaders in the profession.

This year’s scholarship recipient will be invited to attend the AES Show 2024 New York at the Jacob Javits Center and experience the full range of learning and development opportunities offered throughout the event. The winning student will receive $2,000 toward travel, accommodations and other costs associated with attending the convention. In addition, a professional from Arup’s Audiovisual team will accompany the scholarship recipient at the conference to offer support, mentorship, and career guidance.

Dedicated to sustainable development, Arup is a collective of designers, consultants and experts working globally to provide design, engineering, architecture, planning and advisory services across every aspect of the built environment.

Interested students must complete the online application and submit their resume/CV by Monday, September 23, to be considered for the scholarship. The winner will be announced Friday, September 27. Detailed eligibility, criteria, and application information can be found here.
