Problems arising with the use of existing analog audio cables for AES/EBU digital audio signals have prompted an investigation into the choice of twisted-pair cable for such circuits. The conclusion reached is that there are several high-performance data cables which are both better suited to these signals and of lower cost than the traditional cables currently used.
