Radio microphones suffer from low r.f. power and propagation performance varying with the transmitter position. A highly efficient means to improve the r.f. input level at the receiver is the use of more than one antenna. Diversity systems have been realized under different technical aspects. The effects of antenna combination are compared with r.f. switching by modeling and measurements.
