This paper describes calculation using the mirror image method, which takes into account speaker directivity and frequency characteristics, in the designing of multi-purpose halls with near-actual factors included such as electrical audio equipment. Mirror image calculation is of such high speed that the eighth reflection on 200 mirror surfaces is calculated in 300 minutes. It permits correct simulation and makes it possible to listen to the sounds. As this calculation method was applied to the Los Angeles Main Coliseum, it is reported here.
