New loudspeaker diaphragms using fiber reinforced plastics have been developed. The diaphragm for the low frequency range is made of a conical or convex shaped honeycomb cone composed of the epoxy resin reinforced with "Aramid fiber" and a metal core. The diaphragm for the rid and high frequency range is made of a very thin injection molded thermoplastic cone, which is reinforced with radially oriented short carbon filter. Both loudspeaker diaphragms have high specific modulus and internal loss and show excellent acoustic characteristics.
