Design and Structure of a Digital Sound Mixing Desk

The digital revolution has already begun in the audio world. For professional use, the digital tape recorder offers the studio a noise-free quality and excellent archives. For the consumer market, the digital compact disc will soon bring the studio sound inside your living room. In a few years satellites will send digital productions to every home. In the same time, professionals begin to change their way of using audio devices. The mixing desk becomes increasingly the "heart" of a complex studio, with a centralization of all controls and visualization. The digital mixing desk will be able to satisfy these two needs: a remote and ergonomic desk and sophisticated and versatile digital processing.
