This paper focuses on several specific areas that are considered essential for providing young hearing-impaired children with adequate amplification. Some of the areas that will be discussed include problems in the classroom environment, the types of hearing aid systems used in education, desirable characteristics of educational systems, and our present status of hearing aids used in the classroom.
