Selective Acoustic Absorber Design with Personal Calculators

Selective acoustic absorbers are frequently used to shape the acoustic environment of closed spaces prone to unwanted resonances. Two of the most widely used are slot absorbers and "B" panels both of the Hemholtz family. The formulas for calculating each type are straightforward, but when the many variables are combined and changed frequently, the formulas become cumbersome with multiple calculation. The personal calculator provides easy calculation of the formula permentations and hard copy labeling of the absorber design through programs for the Hewlett Packard 67, 97, and 41C. Barcodes and longhand program listing are featured.
