Multipoint Equalization for Car Audio Systems

A car audio system is composed of different parts and the sound reproduction is influenced by several aspects due to the environment characteristics. In this context, one of the most sensitive part of the whole system is the equalization task. In this paper, a complete equalization procedure based on a prototype extraction is presented, taking into consideration multipoint measurements. To validate the proposed approach, the system has been tested inside a real car with professional audio equipment. Simulated and real in-car tests have been performed and their results will be reported.
