This paper discusses disc and tape recording level capabilities. Comparison is made betwee the record media capabilities and the spectral distribution of music. The study described was performed at the Bulgarian Radio to determine the high frequency amplitudes during master tape recording. It is necessary to fit the available media during further rerecording.
