Rebalancing multichannel outputs from either a mixing console or a multi-track recorder shall be done with semi-automatic control facilities in order to realize an economical studio exploitation. The system described has audio control facilities, both visual and acoustical, for checking multi-channel information, the derived 4 and 2 channel stereophonic signal and the 4/2/1 compatibility of same.
