Circuit Design Modifications for Minimizing Transient Intermodulation Distortion in Audio Amplifiers

The minimization methods of transient intermodulation distortion arising in the feedback loop of a power amplifier are considered. The suggested modifications are the various means for increasing the power amplifier slew rate, placing the lag comprensation circuit in the input stage of the amplifier, and decreasing the preamplifier bandwidth. Some considerations concerning the working point of the input stage are also presented.
