New Techniques for Electronic Organ Tone Generation

The design of -serious- electronic organs, i.e., those emulating the pipe organ, is an art which has advanced significantly in recent years. Results now being produced far surpass earlier concepts and suggest the practical possibility of ultimately approaching pipe organ sound very closely. Some of these new ideas are discussed, including oscillators, signal keyers, keying envelope control and voice generation.
