In a 3-D audio system with loudspeakers reproduction, the entire sound field or local sound field could be reproduced. While methods for entire sound field reproduction usually use many loudspeakers, methods for local sound field reproduction are more practical for home use for their less requirement of loudspeakers. The crosstalk cancellation (CTC) system, a well-known local sound field reproduction system, has been extensively studied in the last several decades. As known, a mismatch of a listening position significantly distorts the perceived sounds. This paper proposes an iterative weighted CTC system that allows listeners to rotate their heads to some extent when listening. This system will increase the robustness of the CTC system. Experiment results showed that our system has better robustness in reproducing near-field point sources than typical CTC systems and near-field compensated higher-order Ambisonics systems.
