Approaching musical interpretation from a historical perspective has always been linked with the record production. Historically informed performance is mainly focused on the inclusion of musical instruments that can be as close as possible as the ones used when the music was originally performed. In that sense, it has been barely approached the research of the acoustical spaces where these activities were held, obtaining as a result, audio material with aesthetic characteristics based on modern recording techniques and stereo soundfields characteristics. Ambisonics recording techniques can give a clearer image of the acoustic identity of the spaces where this music was originally played. Based on the concept of historical soundscapes, the project attempts to develop an analysis of Colombian music of the 19th century but based on our subjective perception of the musical fact: When does something sound more antique and which factors condition the subjective perception of listening.
