This paper proposes a method for creating immersive audio for a location-based AR experience with limited site access. The approach was developed while designing a commissioned experience for the KMSKA museum in Antwerp, Belgium. The method involves adapting the audio post-production workflow to optimize the translation between the studio and the site, addressing environmental conditions and background noise, and accurately correlating the sound design with the projected video. Compared to linear cinematographic productions, three additional steps were identified: incorporating environmental issues into the production process, overlaying the speaker layout onto the videos, and using a media server for interactivity and localization fine-tuning on-site.
