This paper explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can transform tertiary music education to enhance fairness and inclusivity, employing Pierre Bourdieu`s sociological theories of cultural capital, habitus, and field as a lens to understand its impact. It advocates for the careful application of AI to significantly lessen the educational barriers that underserved communities encounter, identifying AI as a critical instrument for equity in music academia. AI`s ability to tailor music instruction and broaden access to musical resources positions it as a powerful force for redistributing cultural capital and fostering more inclusive educational experiences. The paper stresses the importance of an ethical approach to AI integration, focusing on transparency and privacy to ensure AI promotes inclusivity and respects students` diverse backgrounds.
