Beyond the Port: Dynamic Network Configuration for AES67/Dante/RAVENNA Deployments at CNSMDP

This paper presents the deployment strategy of a hybrid AoIP infrastructure combining AES67, Dante, and RAVENNA protocols at the Conservatoire National Suprieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP). Moving beyond the traditional "plug into the right port" paradigm, the network relies on dynamic services including SDN-controlled switching, DHCP, and DNS to provide automated VLAN assignment, IP addressing, and service naming. This approach enables agile reconfiguration, simplifies troubleshooting, and scales to a multi-room environment without static cabling constraints. We detail the architecture, implementation challenges, and operational benefits, offering a replicable model for dynamic AoIP deployments in professional audio environments.
