The prolific amount of theoretical papers on the subject of closed box and bass-reflex loudspeaker enclosure design has proved to be invaluable in the understanding of the operation of these systems and it has simplified the procedure by working toward a particular type of response. However, by adding the useful technique of computer simulation, one can reach the final results in a much shorter period of time and at the same time have the flexibility of being able to vary parameters for optimum performance.
