Subjective listening evaluations ultimately form the most important overall analysis of phonograph transducers. With today`s constantly improving performance levels of audio components, the equipment necessary for unbiased comparisons and its proper setup and operation becomes increasingly more important for fair evaluation of subtle differences between phonograph cartridges. The listening environment, test methodology, and human factors involved must also be taken into account in order that test results be properly interpreted. The effects of these test parameters are presented along with supportive data.
