In this paper, a physical explanation will be given of the vibrations in the loudspeaker diaphragm and their influence on sound radiation. A numerical calculation method will be proposed for the sound radiation from a non-rigid loudspeaker disphragm that requires a significantly reduced calculation time. This is achieved by ignoring those vibration modes in the calculations that do not contribute to the sound radiation.
