Solid State Music and Emu Systems have collaborated on the design of several new integrated circuits for electronic music application. The paper discusses design objectives and applications of these voltage-controlled oscillators, filter, amplifier and transient generator circuits. A musical demonstration performed on a large polyphonic synthesizer featuring the new chips will be included.
