A brief explanation of time-delay spectrometry (TDS) will be given, followed by live TDS displays of the anechoic response of a loudspeaker emitting sound within the lecture hall. Interaction between the direct sound and early reflections will be viewed. Relationships between direct and direct plus reverberant sound at different distances from the loudspeaker will be observed. Ease of examining absorption and reflection will be demonstrated.
