Proposed Standardization of International Specifications and Criteria on Loudspeakers and Amplifiers

Many manufacturers use different methods to quote frequency ranges, impedances, power outputs or handling capacities, SPL or PWL, leading the end users to much confusion and audio engineers to time-consuming calculations. An attempt is made to propose a correlative method of measurements and specifications-quoting. Rather than the inherent mathematics, this paper aims to outline a philosophy suggesting the end of a Babel-type dilemma.
