The hardware and software aspects of a microprocessor-based synthesizer keyboard are discussed. The single board hardware configuration interfaces a musical instrument keyboard, user controls, sixteen analog output channels and tape I/O to the CPU. The real-time software allows dual section keyboard use with sequencer functions optimized for performance situations.
