In the sound-technical devices of radio and TV stations, analog signals must be handled without deterioration of the technical data and signal sources must be connected to consumers for purposes of distribution. These switching functions require analog switches of high quality which are united in a switching point in digital design for reasons of controlling. This paper describes a new switching point meeting the demands and, thanks to its technical qualities, suited for use as a switch for analog multiplexers, digital level control, attenuation elements, amplifier and filter rearrangements in sound control systems.
