A direct approach for synthesis of direct-radiator loudspeaker systems is the simulation of the transfer function. By this method, the design is simplified and not restricted to standard alignments. A catalog of the best responses has been established for closed-, vented- and passive radiator-boxes. For any particular system, the optimal response is easily chosen and the values of parameters derived.
