The Digital Audio File developed by TBS for stage and transmission of commercial messages comprises eight 200MB magnetic disks and microprocessors. It enables the random selection and transmission of 4,000 stored CMs within 0.2 second, and the digital condensation of Japanese letters from 12 to 8 bits. This paper describes the use and operation of a reliable and automatic system.
