Improvement of Multichannel Radio Microphone Operation by Use of Advanced Receiver Techniques

Wireless microphones pick up the sound close to an actor in situations where cabled microphones cannot follow him. Semiconductors first made very small transmitters possible, and their use increased, especially in TV and motion-picture production. Such productions require many radio channels. Problems arose, due mainly to the selectivity and nonlinearity of the receivers. A new receiver with improved filtering and extremely linear semiconductor elements is used for comparative measurements.
