The essential details are presented of a program that computes the crosscorrelation between the output of a linear system and the pseudonoise input using the algorithm described in an earlier paper. The program is unusual in that the permutations are computed during the operation rather than being precomputed and stored. This approach produces a compact program that is easy to use and only slightly slower. Furthermore, the approach is particularly attractive for hardware implementations.
