Acoustic Field in an Enclosure and Its Effect on Sound-Pressure Responses of a Loudspeaker

The acoustic field in a loudspeaker enclosure with rigid walls and its effect on the sound-pressure responses are investigated by applying the finite-element method to the acoustic cavity of the enclosure. Sound-pressure responses are calculated by simulating the loudspeaker system with an electromechanical equivalent circuit. These responses are then evaluated in terms of location, semiapex angle, radius, and mass of the loudspeaker diaphragm.
