A sound system (or any system) can be thought of as a collection of imperfect components forming an even more imperfect whole. It is the system designer`s responsibility to reduce these imperfections by all practical means. One widely over looked means for dealing with many such imperfections is through sound system performance optimization. Many aspects of this process will be examined.
