A new anechoic digital recording of orchestral music has been made in a large-scale anechoic room. The anechoic room was temporarily constructed on the stage of the concert hall in conformance to the inverse square law as specified by ISO 3745. Several orchestral works were recorded using a 32-channel multitrack digital tape recorder. Various microphone configurations were employed, and the digital mix-down was carried out using advanced equipment and technology.
