A systematic means for the analysis of the spatial relationships of sounds has not previously been accomplished, despite its importance for the audio professional. Through a graphing of activity and states of value and the use of an objective vocabulary, the significance of the spatial relationships of sound sources can be adequately addressed and articulated. The illusory spatial relationships of sound sources must be analyzed through aural perception for the learned evaluation of audio events or productions. The spatial dimensions of 2-channel audio production are perceived distance, environmental characteristics, source location, and perceived source size.
