Audio Isolation Networks

Passive networks designed to transmit signals between certain terminal pairs (ports) but not between others may be termed -isolation networks.- The desired isolation is obtained by providing multiple paths of transmission, so that signals following an undesired path cancel. Audio applications of this principle including stereo matrixing are illustrated.
