The frequency response of a horn-type loudspeaker driver loaded with an "ideal" infinite horn having a critical frequency f(o)=0 can be determined using the fast Fourier transform of the first acoustic pressure pulse at the entrance of a cylindrical waveguide in response to an electric voltage impulse. In addition some important properties of an electrodynamic driver may be found by means of pulse measurements of its electrical impedance.
