Vintage professional loudspeakers are often found in older facilities. For the most part, they are ignored and discarded, instead of being revitalized and re-used. This paper discusses methods that will help the audio professional protect the owner`s original investment, while assuring high performance quality in a new or revised system. Included are sections on transducer and enclosure revitalization, as well as a method of approximating the coverage and performance characteristics of older high frequency horns using modern, computer-assisted sound system design programs.
