Computer control of the pipe organ enables a new approach to the problem of existing limitations in the articulation of sound in a pipe instrument with an electromagnetic action. The nature of articulation phenomena are examined. Examples for the cases of plosive and slow rises of pressure in the pipe foot are given. The use of a touch-sensitive keyboard controlling air flow in pipes and digitally controlled pipe organ instruments is presented.
