Many real-world applications use use multiple acoustical sources arrayed for required coverage and SPL. Often severe lobing can compromise the actual coverage and intelligibility. In many designs this may be avoided by rearranging the array to provide a smooth coverage envelope. Array modeling software can simply and quickly determine the optimum solution. Presented here are the theory and development of software to model rectangular and curved arrays. Directional properties of the sources are included in the analysis.
